Stormwater Wetland Projects:  Jack Smith Creek

The Jack Smith Creek stormwater wetlands in New Bern, NC are the largest such project in the state.  Designed by Kris Bass, PE and constructed by Carolina Environmental Contracting, Inc., they treat runoff from 1000 acres of urban and industrial development.

Working closely with the designer and construction contractor, Wetland Plants, Inc. provided 144,000 herbaceous wetland plants for this project  over a six week period in early spring, 2013.
